What a box to Canada costs
One flat price for the size of box your things fit into, with a weight allowance included. Adding one more light item usually costs nothing at all, which is the whole point of filling a box rather than sending parcels.
Go over the included weight and it is £8.50 per kilogram to Canada, charged only on the excess. Go more than a little over and we move you to the next size up when that works out cheaper. You see this while your box is filling, not after it is weighed.

Customs and duty
Duty and tax are paid on arrival. The carrier collects them when your box lands, so budget for them separately. Canada also applies provincial taxes that vary by province, and the Canada Border Services Agency publishes what applies and at what value.

How long does it take to ship from the UK to Canada?
About 2–3 working days from the day your box is dispatched. Boxes go with DHL and reach Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and every other Canadian address. Before dispatch the timing is up to you: your box stays open as long as you like and only leaves when you say it is ready.
How much does it cost to send a box from the UK to Canada?

Do I pay customs or duty on a parcel to Canada?
On Canada boxes today, duty and tax are paid on arrival rather than up front, so the carrier collects them when your box lands. Canada sets its own thresholds and rates, published by its own authorities, and those are the ones to check rather than a figure from a shipping company. Your shipping summary always states whether duty is paid upfront or on arrival, before you pay.
What can I not send to Canada?
Canada sets its own import rules, and some things that travel easily elsewhere are restricted or prohibited there.
