How Bringbox pricing works.
Bringbox charges one flat price for the box, not a fee on every parcel. Each box size includes a weight allowance, and anything over that allowance is charged at a fixed rate per kilo. There is no subscription, and you pay nothing until you decide to ship.
One price, per box
Most services price per parcel or per kilo, so the cost moves every time you order. Bringbox works the other way round. Nothing is charged while you are shopping, and when you are ready to ship, the price is set by the size of box your things fit into.
That means five orders and one order can cost the same to send, as long as they fit the same box. It is the single biggest saving in the service.
Box sizes and weight allowances
There are five sizes, XS through to XL. Each one includes a weight allowance in the price. If your box comes in under that weight, you pay the flat price and nothing more.
Sizes, allowances and prices differ by destination, so the live figures for your country are on the pricing page.
Going over the allowance
If the box weighs a little more than its allowance, the extra is charged at a fixed rate per kilo, shown to you before you pay, not added afterwards.
If the box goes further over, we move it to the next size up when that works out cheaper. We always charge whichever is cheaper, the per-kilo rate or the bigger box, and your account shows the figure while the box is filling, so there is never a surprise on the invoice.
What is not in the box price
Duties and taxes are separate, and are handled up front for certain destinations so there is nothing to pay when the box arrives. Optional insurance is separate too. A few situations carry a surcharge, such as an unusually heavy box or a remote delivery address, and these are listed on the pricing page rather than hidden.
When you pay
Only when you ship. The address is free, holding your parcels is free, and photographing them is free. If you never ship, you never pay.
Good to know.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. There is no subscription and no membership. The address is free and you only pay when you ship a box.
Does it cost more to order from lots of shops?
No. The price is set by the box, not the number of parcels in it. Ordering from six retailers costs the same to ship as ordering from one, as long as it fits the same box.
What happens if my box is over its weight allowance?
Going a little over is charged at a fixed rate per kilo, shown to you before you pay. Beyond that we move your box to the next size up when that works out cheaper, and we always charge whichever is cheaper.
Are duties and taxes included in the price?
They are separate from the box price. For certain destinations they are handled up front so there is nothing to pay when your box arrives.
