The short version
If you are sending one small, light item and nothing else is coming, use a service priced by weight. A Bringbox is priced by the size of box your things go into, so the smallest box costs what it costs whether there is a pair of contact lenses in it or nine kilograms of shopping. Three questions worth asking any of them
If I order five things, do I pay once or five times? Combining parcels into one shipment and packing them into one box are not the same thing, and on several services they are two options with two prices. It is the single biggest number in any of these comparisons.
Does the retail packaging come off? Shoeboxes and cartons are mostly air, and you pay to fly the space they occupy. At least one service publishes that it will never remove them.
What exactly gets photographed? "Photographed on arrival" can mean a picture of the sealed box it came in. Ask whether anyone opens it, and what that costs.

Which UK parcel forwarding service is best?
There is no single best one, and any page claiming otherwise is selling you something. The right choice depends on whether you are sending one parcel or gathering many, how soon you need it, and whether you want to see what arrived. For a single lightweight item, a simple pay-by-weight service is the right tool. For orders landing days apart, repacked into one box, that is what Bringbox is built for.
Is Bringbox the cheapest UK forwarding service?
For a single parcel, usually not, and the pages here say so plainly. Bringbox charges a flat price for a box size with a weight allowance included, so you know the cost before you ship. Fill the box from several shops and the per-parcel fees on the other side often make Bringbox the smaller total.
What is the difference between consolidation and repacking?
Consolidation combines parcels into one shipment. Repacking takes the items out of their original boxes and packs them into one. Only repacking removes the shoeboxes and cartons that are mostly air, which is what drops an order into a smaller and cheaper box. Some services charge for one and not the other, and at least one publishes that it will never remove retail packaging.
Do UK forwarding services photograph your parcels?
It varies more than the wording suggests. Some photograph the outer packaging only and charge extra for interior photographs, some take photographs on request, and some do not photograph at all. Bringbox opens every parcel and photographs the contents free of charge on every delivery.
